Collection routes can often present unexpected challenges, but the McNeilus Manual/Automated (MA) Side Loader simplifies the process with its innovative combination of an automated arm and a manual loading mechanism. This makes it one of the most flexible refuse trucks available on the market.

The easy-to-operate arm efficiently handles residential cans, while the low-height hopper sill allows operators to manually throw in the “little extras” that frequently accompany residential trash collection. Additionally, an optional cart tipper enables collection from both sides of the street for increased efficiency.

For added versatility, this vehicle can also be configured without the arm, functioning as a strictly manual side loader. The drop frame and lower hopper sill design make it ideal for single-person routes or recycling collections, allowing operators to easily and effectively dump totes.
